Welcome to the Deaffest Archive!

Deaffest, a Zebra Access project, was first established in Wolverhampton in 2006 and has grown to be the UK’s leading Deaf-led Film and Arts Festival.

Running for over 18 years, this thriving festival supports and develops the talents of emerging and established deaf filmmakers and artists from the UK and around the world.

Deaffest Music Video Project 2017

The music video project, the first of its kind to be produced in the UK, involved a collaboration of deaf artists from the USA and the UK coming together to give young deaf individuals an opportunity to learn about different cultures and languages, and to be inspired by the artists. It is part of the National Deaf Children’s Society’s ‘Raising the Bar’ competition involving six deaf and hard of hearing school children, Choreographer Chris Fonseca, Performing Artist Rosa Lee Timm, Film Director Bim Ajadi, Director of Photography Alexandra Boanta, Production Manager Jack Smallwood, PR Liaison Officer Lou Parrott, Music Video Producer Stacy Lawrence, and Executive Directors Nikki Stratton and Marilyn Willrich.
