We are excited to announce that we will be bringing a first ever brand new addition to Deaffest 2013, as Deafinitely Theatre makes its debut at Deaffest! Aliya Gulamani’s Buddha Knows, will be part of the live entertainment during the 4th Film Gala Awards at Deaffest 2013! Buddha Knows was shown as part of our 4Play showcase and that Aliya is on our Deafinitely Creative playwright development programme.

BUDDHA KNOWS by Aliya Gulamani.

Finn is mugged and all his personal belongings are stolen. The keys don’t quite fit the front door, his living room is now filled with objects he’d rather not have to see and he has to endure a lengthy discussion with the statue of a Buddha. As a direct consequence of the mugging, Finn and his wife Grace are forced to confront an important and vital question about their future.
