Deaffest & BFI Network New Voices’ scheme

Deaffest is currently working in partnership with BFI Network New Voices’ new scheme New Voices.  The scheme is set up to provide support South West and Midlands based filmmakers in the development of their short film ideas.  Nikki Stratton and Marilyn Willrich are both excited to be involved in New Voices and look forward to working with the filmmakers.

Deaffest is delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with GDA(Gloucester Deaf Association), with Deaffest’s Live evening entertainment event taking place at Gloucester Deaf Association’s centre. A separate ticket is required.

Our guests are well-known Deaf Comedian John Smith, who will be appearing, alongside aspiring young Deaf comedian Danny Murphy, Ticket price will be £10 (non-refundable).

COVID-19 Guideline

Deaffest would like to make a statement regarding Covid-19.

Deaffest and GDA have Covid-19 guidelines in place and hope that you will abide by them to ensure that you keep safe whilst having a great time visiting this venue for Deaffest on Tour.

  • We are encouraging everyone to wear face-masks at all time when visiting the venue, unless you are exempt.
  • Please repeat people’s space and ensure that you are 2 metres apart where possible.
  • Sanitise your hands every time you leave a room, such as the cinema or a workshop, etc.
  • Please respect the venue and staff members at all times.

Please do not attend if you:

  • Have tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Have experienced any symptoms over the last 10 days.
  • Have has close contact with someone in your family or friend group that has symptoms or has tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Have been told that you must self-isolate.
