We’re excited to share the news that Deaffest’s music video I Believe has been selected for the April 2018 Edition of CKF International Film Festival (CKFIFF). Furthermore, the festival has announced that ‘The Best Editor of the Month’ award goes to Bim Ajadi, who directed the I Believe music video!
The monthly winners will then compete with each other to become CKFIFF’s 2018 Annual Event winner. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed!!

Back in January, we revealed that our music video I Believe, by Yolande Adams, had been selected to be screened at the 4th Seattle Deaf Film Festival and we’re delighted to say that we won the Best Musical/Animation award!
Such great news for the crew involved in the making of film, especially artists Chris Fonseca and Rosa Lee Timm – well done to everyone involved!
As you are aware already, we have been working arduously in preparation for our Deaf Youth Film and Performance Academy.
It is with great sadness that we announce the Deaf Youth Film and Performance Academy will not now be going ahead. Several factors have contributed to this outcome, but the main difficulty has been in obtaining our funding target.
We would like to thank you for your interest as well as your support. It is incredible to see the support given to the project which has inspired us to strive to continue trying to develop and offer filming and performance opportunities to young deaf people.
