Welcome to the Young Deaffest page!

Below you’ll find opportunities for young D/deaf people at Deaffest 2026 on Saturday 9 May.

Visit the link here to explore the workshops on offer (age ranges vary for each session).

Don’t miss the family-friendly performances in the courtyard at the University of Wolverhampton (Stafford Road), running 12:00pm – 12:35pm.

• A clown performance by Canadian performer Jennifer Manning and French performer Anabela Canica, bringing playful and expressive visual storytelling.

• A visually expressive Shakespeare performance by William Grint (aka The Deaf Bard), blending BSL and visual vernacular.

Deaf stars Jazzy Whipps, Benny Ngo, and Danny Murphy will also be at the festival throughout the day – feel free to sign hello if you spot them!

There’ll also be face painting at the Deaffest Stalls Fair – come along, get creative, and pick your favourite design! 🎨 Show your #SigninStyleatDeaffest and have some fun with friends!
