Deaffest 2019 makes a comeback after a year’s break! The biennial festival will be returning to Wolverhampton, UK from the 17th to 19th May 2019, with the theme: ‘Share Your Story’.

There are so many ways to share your story, whether it be through films, arts, performances or sign language. We want the festival to inspire the visitors, including the deaf younger generation, to find their own inner story and gain the skills and confidence to tell it to the world. Let the ‘Once Upon a Time’ begin…” – Deaffest team

Throughout history, storytelling has been linked to culture and at the 13th international festival, Deaffest will be celebrating the storytelling tradition by bringing Deaf Artists, Filmmakers and Performers together from across the world to explore visual storytelling in all its forms.

The UK’s leading Deaf-led Film & Arts Festival will include the popular bustling stalls fair, a showcase of films and documentaries by UK and international filmmakers, the exciting 7th Film & TV Awards Gala with live entertainment, an exhibition showcasing the works of deaf artists and photographers, workshops for adults and children, the Late Night Deaf Party with competitions and much more.

Deaffest offers a variety of sponsorship packages, some of which include hosting a stall at our Stalls Fair. It is a great opportunity to shine the spotlight on your brand, but all requests for sponsorship packages will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, so get in touch with us at enquiries@deaffest.co.uk sooner rather than later.

We welcome film submissions from UK and international filmmakers for the Film & TV Awards and the Young Deaffest Award. Click here for information about submitting your film, the awards and details about the deadlines.

Stallholders are welcome to promote their charity/business or to sell products/creative work at Deaffest 2019. Click here for more information.

Information about daytime and evening entry fees to the festival will be on the Deaffest website in early 2019. Tickets for the Film & TV Awards Gala and the Late-Night Deaf Party will also be available for purchase. Due to the popularity of this event, we advise you to book your ticket as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Tickets are non-refundable.
