Deaffest are excited about the forthcoming release of the latest episode of Deaffest: Rewind featuring our host, Adam Bassett, alongside special guest Camilla Arnold!
Come and find out about Camilla’s successful career as the first deaf female Series Producer for the BBC’s See Hear. She has also won the ‘Best Documentary’ Award TWICE, and is aiming for a third award!
The video will be available online this Sunday 27th February at 7:00pm via this website, or on YouTube via our links on social media.
The Stalls Fair will take place at Light House Media Centre in Wolverhampton on Saturday 7th May 2022 from 9am – 5pm.
Stallholders are welcome to promote their charity/business or to sell products/creative work/food at Deaffest 2022.
Please note:
- Stalls are supplied without a tablecloth. If you need a tablecloth please bring your own.
- We advise you to bring your own interpreter if required. We MAY be able to provide a voluntary communication subject to availability.
- Please arrive no earlier than 8.30am on Saturday 7th May 2022 to set up your stall.
- If you will be arriving late on the day, you must let us know. We will remove any empty stalls at 11am.
- The venue will have WiFi. Access information will be given to you upon arrival.
- When you have sent in your application form, payment is required within 30 days of booking (non-refundable).
Places are LIMITED so book your stall sooner than later to avoid disappointment.

Samuel Dore
Samuel Dore is a drama filmmaker based in Milton Keynes who, at times wrote, and directed many films and some of my recent films are Chasing Cotton Clouds (2009), Supersonic (2014), Reverberations (2019), CBBC Snaps’ Freestyle (2021) and Diagnonsense (2022) I also work as a film and TV drama set unit stills photographer.

Charlotte Little
Charlotte Little is a deafblind access consultant, curator, and writer.
Based in Edinburgh, Charlotte works in the film exhibition sector, advising cinemas, festivals, and other organisations on improving access and inclusion for Deaf and disabled audiences. Charlotte often writes about disability and Deafness in cinema and has recently launched Caption This Cinema, a pop-up cinema dedicated to inclusive cinema experiences. Braam Jordaan
Braam Jordaan was born Deaf in Benoni, South Africa. With over 30 major international awards under his belt for film and animation work, he is also known for championing education and human rights in the Deaf community by drawing inspiration from the very community he is part of. He became a board member of the World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section in 2011, and delivered a statement at the United Nations in New York City about the right to an education in sign language. He was formerly an Honourable Member of Disability Rights Parliament in South Africa. He has published three children’s books with Cambridge University Press.
Braam was bestowed with the Order of the Baobab in 2019 by the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in recognition of his efforts at raising awareness on the importance of sign language and the human rights of Deaf people around the world through his work with films and books. The National Orders are the highest awards that South Africans can receive.
Braam truly is a global citizen and multilingual in nine languages. He is currently the CEO of Convo Global and SignLive is part of the four-countries Convo Global family. He is a recipient of the Business in Vancouver Forty under 40 award recognising the achievements of British Columbia’s young entrepreneurs with demonstrated excellence in business, judgment, leadership and community contribution.
Braam is currently working as an Animation Consultant for Paramount Animation.

In many cases, films that screen at Deaf film festivals may very well be the up-and-coming filmmakers’ only opportunity to see these film projects on the big screen and have a conversation with other film enthusiasts, including myself!
