
New York Times bestselling author, Nyle DiMarco, has broken down barriers and won over audiences since he burst onto the scene in 2014. A successful model and actor, Nyle was featured in episodes of QUEER AS FOLK, STATION 19, and SWITCHED AT BIRTH. As a producer, Nyle was the driving force behind such successful programs as DEAF U and AUDIBLE on Netflix, the former earning an Academy Award nomination. DiMarco is currently producing and developing scripted and non-scripted programming, as well as consulting on disability inclusion. Additionally, DiMarco is co-directing a documentary with esteemed filmmaker Davis Guggenheim, marking his first foray behind the camera as a director.
Not to mention, he won America’s Next Top Model in 2015 and BBC Worldwide’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in 2016.

The host of the Late-Night Party for Deaffest’s 15th Anniversary Festival will be the brilliant BSL TV Presenter and Translator Ahmed Mudawi!


Ahmed Mudawi is widely recognised as a BSL TV Presenter, appearing on iconic programmes such as BBC’s ’See Hear’, Channel 4’s ’Vee TV’, and BSL Zone’s award-winning programme series ’This is Deaf’. Plus, he’s a well-known face on TV with his in-vision translation for the BBC, Channel 4, and other media channels.
Ahmed is on the British Deaf Association’s Board of Trustees and is a Member of the BSL Advisory Board for the HM Government. He is also on the Committee for the Association of Sign Language Interpreters’ ‘Deaf Interpreters Network’ and is an active member of The Interpreters of Colour Network.
Being British Sudanese and Deaf, Ahmed is passionately committed to empowering Black Deaf individuals in education and employment. He contributed to BSL Zone’s ‘Black Lives Matter and Black Deaf Media Representation’ and ‘Found in the UK’. Ahmed volunteers for Black Deaf UK, where his role includes collaborating with companies to provide BSL translation for Black children’s storybooks to make them accessible for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children.
