As preparations continue for this year’s Deaffest we have now started to look for companies, charities and organisations who would like to exhibit on the Saturday of the festival. This is a great way to reach a diverse range of Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing audiences from all over the UK and abroad and could be the ideal opportunity to promote your services or products and speak direct to our audiences. We have opened submissions for next year’s Deaffest so if you have a film which you would like to be shown at next year’s festival click here and download the appropriate forms. We have two forms this year – one for films to be entered into the Film & TV Gala competition on Sat 21 May and one for non-competition films to be screened as part of the weekend programme. So make sure you select the right one and send the completed form with your film to the address given on the form.

This year’s Deaffest enjoyed heatwave weather thanks to its new date in May and we hope you enjoyed the jam-packed weekend, from the films to the face paints! Stephen Collins was announced as the winner of the Ben Steiner Bursary and we look forward to seeing his film at Deaffest 2011. And Louise Neethling won Best in Festival for his moving drama Departure Lounge. Read more about the weekend here.
