
Solar Bear’s Deaf Youth Theatre (DYT), based in Glasgow, is for young deaf people between the ages of 12 – 21. They meet, play, learn skills and create new work. Amongst many highlights they run weekly workshops, create an original new show every year and make films. They are proud that many of their members have successfully established careers in the arts, and return to DYT to inspire the next generation.
There will be an exciting performance by Solar Bear at Young Deaffest as well as at the Film & TV Awards Gala on Saturday 18th May 2019. Not to be missed!

On Saturday 18th May John will be leading a Comedy & Finger Dance Children’s Workshop with Russian-born dance performer Andrey Dragunov from 2pm to 4pm. Participants will learn a mixture of comedy, dance and finger dance skills in this fun-filled workshop! Visit here for price and booking information.
A fantastic exhibition by deaf artists and photographers is currently on display in the Main Gallery at Light House Media Centre.
The exhibitors will be giving a talk about their work in the Main Gallery on Saturday 18th May at 1pm. A BSL/English Interpreter will be provided.
Booking is not required for this event.
