We’re delighted to have talented Presenter and Filmmaker Rosie Benn with us at Deaffest 2019!
“Hi, my name is Rosie Benn and I’m currently living in Ashford, Kent. I am a freelance Filmmaker, Motion Graphic Designer and Presenter. I enjoy my work immensely because I get to use the best of my creativity and passion, which I strive for along with ensuring my clients are happy. I still present from time to time because I always get a thrill from being in front of the camera and providing information in BSL to the Deaf/ HoH audiences.
I am excited and honoured to be delivering the TV Presenter workshop with Clive Mason this year; we have lots of tips up our sleeves for you! I hope to see you there!”
The How to be an Amazing TV Presenter workshop will take place on Saturday 18th May at The Gateway from 12.30pm to 3pm. Pre-booking is required. For more information about the workshop visit here.

Deaf Poet Richard Carter will be performing at Deaffest 2019 on Saturday 18th May.
Richard is one of the UK’s foremost Deaf BSL poets with many original sign language poems, stories and performances to his name.
He teaches poetry to Deaf and hearing adults and children across the UK. He has performed his own poetry at a range of events including the Bristol Sign Poetry Festival and has mentored children who participated in the Life & Deaf project in 2006 and 2011.
He is currently a research consultant on an Arts and Humanities Research Council project that explores the use of metaphor within creative sign language.
