
Deaffest Co-Founder Nikki Stratton has been selected as one of the finalists for the University of Wolverhampton’s Entrepreneurial Award!
It is a delight to see Nikki nominated for this award, which recognises and celebrates her entrepreneurial skills in her work with Deaffest, Zebra Access CIO and Zebra Uno Ltd, which she co-founded with her business partner Marilyn Willrich.
Nikki is Deaf and comes from a Deaf family of three generations. She has worked in the media field for many years, gaining a wealth of experience in roles such as, BSL consultant, presenter, in-vision interpreter in the broadcast television industry, and for corporate/public projects.
Nikki and Marilyn co-founded Zebra Uno Limited in 2003. It is a successful company which focuses on digital media and communication. In 2006, they launched Deaffest, the UK’s leading Deaf-led Film & Arts Festival, a project which runs under the charity Zebra Access CIO, which Nikki and Marilyn co-founded in 2005.
With over 20 years of media experience under Nikki’s belt, she strives to be a role model for the younger generation of deaf people, especially those who run or aspire to run a business.
