The goal of Young Deaffest is to encourage, enable and inspire young Deaf people to develop their skills in the film and media industry, including filmmaking and acting.
The Young Deaffest program at Deaffest includes events for young Deaf people such as workshops and the Young Deaffest Awards, where films made by and/or starring young Deaf people are screened, with a winning film selected to receive the Young Deaffest Awards.
The Young Deaffest Awards is open for all young Deaf people under the age of 21.
